Starting at a new Early Learning Centre can be full of emotions for both families and children. To support you in this transition, we offer an inclusive orientation program to assist your child to settle into their new environment. This process helps to develop the relationships with the educators in your child’s room before starting at the Centre. Ensuring your child feels safe and secure is our priority.

Building a strong relationship with your family is very important to us and makes a real difference to the early learning outcomes for your child. It is best for us to know your child’s interests, likes, dislikes and any special needs they may have as this will become integral as the educators will incorporate your child’s interests into our educational programs.

 

On your child’s first day in care, educators will continue to build on the relationship with you and your child to make the transition process run more smoothly

 

​The settling in process is a unique journey for each individual child and although we would like to say the process only takes two weeks, in reality, it could be shorter than this – or longer. The educators will work closely with you to ensure this process is as smooth as possible.
